Robin

April 18, 2013

So I was going to write a post tonight on all of the different kinds of beautiful flowers I’ve been seeing lately… but I’m too lazy at the moment to do any research. I mean I was going to talk petunias and blue perennials! But alas, I’ll save all of that for another day.

Instead, I will leave you with this tonight:

When I googled “American Robin,” I came up with this:

american-robin

Awesome American Robin, which I spot ALL the time here in CANADA.

Then I wondered — quite reasonably I’d think — whether there existed a Canadian Robin. This was what showed up when I googled, “Canadian Robin”:

a_560x375-1

Canadian sensation Robin Sparkles from How I Met Your Mother

I shouldn’t have been surprised.

Anyway, while searching the web for the name of the bird that makes this sound in my garden: EHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I stumbled upon this video of the Lyre Bird. Totally cool. I not only learned about one of nature’s most interesting creations but also learned that David Attenborough was the “voice guy” from all of those documentaries I watched as a kid. Cool!

I don’t know the names of all of the different flowers that I see either.
I do know they are flowers……and they are very beautiful.
That will have to suffice for now. 🙂
